Legalising Property
In the last few years many properties in the Alpujarra have been reformed, modernised or extended and some houses built without the proper consent or indeed any form of planning from the Ayuntamiento, ie: the local council. Now the Ayuntamiento of Orgiva, which is in the province of Granada, is working on plans to legalise some of these properties and to find a solution to those that should never have been built at all or to those who just need a few extra metres written onto the deeds. Alpujarra Conect is now in possession of the procedure required by the town hall for this process and is therefore in a position to help people through the legal maze of updating their property deeds. Those who want to purchase, or those who already have a property they wish to modernise, will then have to comply to stricter planning rules. Talk to us so that you have a better idea on what will be possible before purchasing. Our architect can provide you with a tailor-made report on what is possible and what the local authorities will grant building permission for. We do know that there will be areas in and around Orgiva designated for building and urbanisation, but other areas such as the national park will be very carefully monitored in the future. If you therefore need a helping hand to guide you through legalising your property or if you have any other questions about planning come in and see us or phone us at Alpujarra Conect. And if the situation is complicated, then Paco Carmona, our architect, can provide you with the most up to date information for your particular case. Phone or email for more details and our fees. |
