Translation
We are a “Translation Agency” and this covers a multitude of work, ranging from sworn legal translations (dealt with in the next item), to the written translation of letters, contracts, agreements, forms, school reports etc, to verbal on-the-spot interpreting between you and the bank manager, the teacher, the police, the plumber or carpenter, your neighbour, the shop owner or the owner of the property you want to buy.

Legal Translations
Sometimes you need a sworn translation of an important legal document such as a birth or marriage certificate, a power of attorney, a court ruling or any legal agreement that needs to be valid here in Spain.

Buying & Selling Property
This is the main focus of our work and where people need most help, as the Spanish conveyancing system is entirely different from anywhere else!

Alpujarra Conect can help you through this process and make sure that all the right taxes are being paid on your property.

Power of Attorney
Alpujarra Conect offer a service whereby you can sign a power of attorney to us in order to act on your behalf once you have left Spain. This can also be used to obtain NIE numbers for you if you cannot stay on long enough to complete the procedure.

Checking Property Legalities
A lot of property in Spain and in the Alpujarra has belonged to Spanish families for many years, and has been handed down to their children. This has meant that larger farms have been broken down into smaller parcels of land. For people purchasing and thinking of modernising, you will need planning permission and it will therefore be important for you to be aware of all the problems that you may face before signing any agreement.

Legalising Property
In the last few years many properties in the Alpujarra have been reformed, modernised or extended and some houses built without the proper consent or indeed any form of planning from the Ayuntamiento, ie: the local council.

Property Surveys and Building Permits
It is highly advisable if you are unsure about the state of the building to at least get some professional advice on issues that will affect you in the future. A lot of people make the mistake of buying before they are sure exactly what they are buying.

Building and Professional Contacts
From architects for planning, to builders, electricians, plumbers etc., ask us for a recommendation. We can also advise you where to go to buy building materials, kitchens, bathrooms, tiles etc.

Project Management
